NSW Export Assistance

The NSW Government has launched a range of support measures for NSW businesses at each stage of their export journey. The package includes financial and non-financial assistance, export capability-building and tailored engagement with our trade professionals in NSW and overseas.

The export support measures are designed to help NSW exporters recover and build sustainable international business following the impacts of COVID-19, the bushfires and drought.

Export Assistance Grant Program

The Export Assistance Grant program provides grants to eligible businesses to help them recover from the impacts of COVID-19, bushfires and drought on their international markets.

Reimbursement of 50% of eligible expenses, up to a maximum of $10,000 per eligible business is available for current or previously exporting businesses enabling access to new or re-entering previous markets.

Funding is available for export marketing and development activities, such as market research, participation in international tradeshows and trade missions, inbound business support, e-commerce development and marketing materials.

Going Global Program

The Going Global Program connects eligible NSW businesses with opportunities in key global markets and helps companies to access new export markets.

This Program enables NSW businesses to gain a deep understanding of specific international markets, the opportunities and pathways to markets across specific sectors and provides introductions to customers and other in-country contacts. It equips NSW businesses with the skills, knowledge and connections needed to achieve tangible outcomes in international markets.

The 10-month intensive programs minimise barriers to entry for potential exporters by providing: introduction and advanced exporting workshops; market selection advice; market intelligence briefings; cultural training; business matching activities and introductions; promotional opportunities; a market visit program (subject to easing in border restrictions); in-market assistance and logistical support; industry and international networking opportunities and ongoing case management and support.

Select from 15 tailored programs covering nine markets and ten sectors.
